Official Solution & Explanation:
In the Delhi Sultanate, Sultan Firuz Shah Tughlaq had excavated the Rajabwah canal from the Yamuna River towards Hisar, which eventually silted up. During Akbar's reign, Shihabuddin Ahmad Khan, governor of Delhi, desilted, widened, and revived the canal to irrigate his estates, renaming it the 'Shahab Canal' (Shihab Canal). Later under Shah Jahan, it was extended to Delhi's Red Fort as the celebrated 'Nahr-i-Bihisht' (Canal of Paradise).
