गौतम के बचपन का नाम सिद्धार्थ था। इन्हें शाक्यमुनि, तथागत आदि नामों से जाना जाता है। आदि गुरु शंकराचार्य को 'प्रच्छन्न बौद्ध' या छिपा हुआ बुद्धमार्गी कहा जाता था। अतः पार्थ, प्रच्छन्न, मिहिर, गुडाकेश भगवान बुद्ध के अन्य नाम नहीं हैं। इस प्रकार अभीष्ट विकल्प (e) है; किंतु छत्तीसगढ़ लोक सेवा आयोग ने अपने प्रारंभिक एवं संशोधित दोनों ही उत्तर-पत्रकों में इस प्रश्न का उत्तर विकल्प (b) ही जारी किया।
