बाल गंगाधर तिलक ने आर्यों के आदि देश के बारे में लिखा था। तिलक ने यह मत व्यक्त किया था कि आर्यों का आदि देश उत्तरी ध्रुव था। किंतु तिलक का यह मत इतिहासकारों में मान्य नहीं है।
