सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता के कुछ स्थलों से घोड़े के मृण्मूर्ति, अस्थि, जबड़े आदि अवशेष प्राप्त हुए हैं, लेकिन उसका अंकन हड़प्पा की मुहरों पर नहीं मिलता है।

A great majority of seals found in Indus Valley civilization carry short inscriptions with figures of the one-horned animal (most common), the Buffalo, the Tiger, the Rhinoceros, the Goat and the Elephant.
