हड़प्पा, मोहनजोदड़ो, रोपड़, लोथल एवं कालीबंगा सिंधु घाटी सभ्यता के प्रमुख स्थल हैं। सैंधव सभ्यता में सड़कें एक-दूसरे को समकोण पर काटती (ऑक्सफोर्ड सर्कस) थीं। सड़कों के दोनों किनारों पर पक्की नालियां बनाई जाती थीं, जिन्हें बड़ी ईंटों अथवा पत्थर के टुकड़ों से ढका जाता था। इस समय सोने तथा चांदी के आभूषण बनाए जाते थे। तांबे के साथ टिन मिलाकर कांसा तैयार किया जाता था।

A proper drainage system was aligned along the roads, which was covered with big stones and bricks.
