The Wavell Plan was presented in the year 1945. After the conclusion of the war in Europe, the Viceroy of India, Lord Wavell, visited London in March 1945 to discuss political reform with Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Secretary of State Leopold Amery. The proposals were broadcast on 14 June 1945, leading to the Simla Conference.
