Official Solution & Explanation:
Correct Answer: Option A(गोवा)
Following India's independence from the British Empire on 15 August 1947, 'Goa' (along with Daman, Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli) remained under Portuguese colonial rule. The Portuguese dictator António de Oliveira Salazar adamantly refused to cede control. Finally, on 18–19 December 1961, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'Operation Vijay', liberating Goa and integrating it into the Indian Union.
