वे प्रत्यय जो संज्ञा, सर्वनाम एवं विशेषण के साथ जुड़कर उनके स्त्रीलिंग का बोध कराते हैं, उन्हें स्त्रीबोधक तद्धित प्रत्यय कहा जाता है। जैसे- सुता, छात्रा, अनुजा आदि में 'आ' प्रत्यय लगा है। उसी प्रकार 'सुमित्रा' (सु + मित्र + आ) में भी 'आ' प्रत्यय लगा है। UPSSSC ने इस प्रश्न का उत्तर विकल्प (b) दिया था, जो कि त्रुटिपूर्ण है, जबकि इस प्रश्न का उत्तर विकल्प (a) होना चाहिए।
